24-Hour Comics Day is an event held around the world which challenges writers and artists to create a full 24-page comic in 24 consecutive hours. Thousands of artists take the 24-Hour Comics Day Challenge every year!
Last year, I hosted the event at Pulp Fiction, and Mike (the owner) has been gracious enough to offer up his shop AGAIN for a 24hr Comic Book Day event (he clearly didn't learn his lesson last time)! Last year's event went pretty well. Everyone had fun and was VERY respectful of the shop, and we're hoping for a similar turn-out this year despite the late start! Like last year, we'll go from noon-to-noon and see how many of us can finish a complete 24pg comic in the allotted time!
Like last year, we'll be linked up via webcam/Skype with the guys over at the Toonseum in Pittsburgh, and we'll have a public "hangout" set up through Google+ for everyone to check in and chat while we artists try to stay awake. Just click on the link below to go to the FB Event page to RSVP and get all the details! If you're in the LA/LB area and looking for a place to squat and get in on the 24 Hour Comics Day fun, come on by! The vent is open to anyone and, as long as there are seats left, anyone can join in!
